ProView – Petzl Evolv Adjust
The Petzl Evolv Adjust is awesome! I had the opportunity to use it on The Salathe Wall on El Capitan in October 2016.
It is a lightweight adjustable positioning device that works great for aid climbing. It’s easy to cinch yourself up, and release to lower yourself from the place of attachment.
I used it to connect myself to my ascenders, anchors, and lead protection while aid climbing. It eliminates the need for a Fifi hook because you can cinch yourself very close to the attachment point. My girlfriends had both the daisy chain and adjustable daisy that looks like a seatbelt/ cam strap.
It was quickly obvious that the Petzl Evolv Adjust was superior. A dynamic rope is the perfect choice for this adjustable lanyard. I will never do a wall without one again.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about it. Perhaps, it could come in more flashy colors!
