Too dark in low light scenarios
I put the Revlock Spacklers to work during several fishing trips throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California. From bright afternoons on the Rogue River to smaller mountain streams near Lake Tahoe where spotting fish can make all the difference, they quickly became my go-to pair of sunglasses.

The polarized lenses made it easier to cut through surface glare and read water. The secure fit gave me confidence while scrambling over rocks or wading through current. One feature I didn’t expect to appreciate as much as I did was the removable side shields. They noticeably reduced peripheral light and helped keep my eyes fresh after hours of scanning the water. Combined with the wraparound design, glare had no chance.
Fit & Comfort
The Spackler Revlock was easy to wear all day. The rubberized contact points help keep the sunglasses securely in place. Whether hiking, rowing, casting, or netting fish, they stayed put. They’re substantial enough to feel rugged but light enough that I rarely noticed them during a full day on the water.

Look & Style
Pit Viper has never been known for making subtle sunglasses, and the Spackler Revlock is no exception. The wraparound frame, bold blue, bright green lens, and removable side shields create a look that stands out from traditional fishing eyewear. While some anglers prefer a more understated style, I appreciated that these sunglasses bring a little personality to the water.
Features
The standout feature is the polarized lens system. The lenses do an excellent job reducing glare and improving visibility beneath the water’s surface, so I could identify fish, structure, and current seams. There are also the removable side shields that block excess light. The wraparound design also gives excellent coverage.

What Sets the Product Apart?
Many fishing sunglasses focus solely on performance, while others lean heavily into style. The Spackler Revlock manages to combine both. The unmistakable Pit Viper design keeps things fun and unique. It’s a pair of sunglasses that performs like serious fishing gear without taking itself too seriously.
Function & Performance
The polarized lenses do an excellent job cutting glare, making it easier to read water, spot fish, and identify submerged structure. Whether I was scanning riffles for fish or watching a dry fly drift through a seam, the lens clarity remained sharp throughout the day. Combined with the removable side shields, I could wear these all day.
Durability & Construction
The frame is sturdy without feeling overly rigid, and the lenses have held up well to the inevitable bumps, drops, and abuse that come with spending a weekend fishing. The overall construction gives the impression that these sunglasses are designed to last for multiple seasons rather than a single summer.
Room for Improvement
The biggest drawback I noticed when using these sunglasses is that they were too dark to use in low-light scenarios. I fished in the morning and evening on one of the trips and had to take them off because the tint was too dark. Very minor callout because when the sun was high and bright during the day, they were awesome and the level of tint was a game changer.

The Final Word
The Pit Viper Spackler Revlock combines serious fishing performance with the fun and rowdy personality that Pit Viper is known for. While they may not be the most understated sunglasses at the boat ramp, they more than make up for it with performance. If you’re looking for a pair of shades that help you spot more fish while adding a little extra character to your fishing kit, the Spackler Revlock is an easy recommendation. They’ve quickly become one of my favorite pieces of fishing optics and will continue to ride along on future river days.
