ProView – Thule Travel Collection Review

Why does the feeling of thinking, “I need a pocket for this item,” and the pocket magically being where you want it to be the epitome of travel satisfaction? Okay, maybe not the epitome, but having luggage that works with you, is durable, and satisfying to use, can make travel so much smoother. Thule Chasm Wheeled Duffel

The Thule Chasm Wheeled Duffel was the workhorse of our cross-country road trip from Colorado to the East Coast, up through the Northeast, and into Canada—plus a flight to, and week in, the Dominican Republic. It’s got big ol’ wheels that roll smoothly over gravel and anything else you’d like to offroad on – though airport terminals are a great choice too.

I’m a super fan of the organization of this pack. The open access, compression straps, and weather-resistant fabric handled rain, rides in the trunk, and being thrown around by airport baggage handlers. It’s not the lightest wheeled duffel out there, but for extended trips where you’re constantly loading, unloading, and dragging gear to your next destination, it’s a reliable, sturdy, and keeps your stuff safe.

Thule Chasm Duffel

The Thule Chasm Duffel had similar durability and intuitive design, but with easy grab and go capabilities. It’s soft sided and without wheels, so it’s easier to stuff into overhead bins or cramped trunks. It has a backpack carry option that we used constantly. My partner likes to carry EVERYTHING, if he possibly can, so he used this as a backpack, and stacked other things on top of the rolly Chasm.

Once again, it’s easy to pack, has a few small pockets for your important small things, and is easy to cart around. It has the classic Thule durability, with water-resistant fabric that stands up to luggage handlers, or our own throwing around as we moved from spot to spot. Handles where you want them, when you need them.

Thule Chasm Gear Cube

The Thule Chasm Gear Cube really complemented the duffel and roller bag. Used for everything from shoes to kids’ clothes to extra toiletries, it’s just the right size to keep your essentials organized. It’s big enough to house my husband’s size 13 dress shoes, and maneuverable enough to move from bag to bag. It’s waterproof and has a satisfying zip. It comes in multiple sizes, for if you don’t need to pack men’s size 13 shoes (which are very annoying to pack).

Thule Aion Toiletry Bag

The Thule Toiletry Bag is one that surprised me the most. It holds far more than it looks like, stands up on its own (a surprisingly big deal), and has a separate pocket for liquids. From shared bathrooms on the road to resort sinks in the Dominican Republic, I was happy to grab this and know I had everything I needed.

My husband and I share this when traveling, which I know isn’t a fit for most couples, but we both have minimal items. It’s big enough for everything we need, and the pockets help us keep everything seperate and easy to see. When in the travel trailer, it’s nice to have something that keeps everything I need to run to the campground bathroom and be able to shower, brush my teeth, wash my face, and be ready to tuck in.

The design is great — there’s a huge zipper on the top, and when fully unzipped. it pops open so you can see everything. Once zipped back up, there are two snaps on either side that help turn it into a toiletry sized hot dog, making it easier to pack, and lses of a chance of things getting tossed around within the bag.

We’ve spilled a ton of stuff on this bag, and for some reason, the color hides it all. If you’re looking for a toiletry bag update – this is the one.
